In 1979 John Freundschuh first started employment with a Bobcat dealer in Baton Rouge, LA after having traveled there on a winter vacation with his wife. He started working in the service department and was trained to oversee parts with the Bobcat Parts Training Program. After working there for 18 months, he was promoted to service manager at a second location in Lafayette, LA. Originally from the Rochester, NY area, John decided to move home with his family in 1981 and started employment as a salesman with the Rochester area Bobcat dealer. He successfully handled all operations of the sales department including government, industrial, commercial, and consumer accounts.
In 1998 the Freundschuh family purchased their own Bobcat dealership. Bobcat of Buffalo is a locally owned and operated equipment dealership located in a newly renovated facility near the Niagara and Erie County border about 25 miles east of Niagara Falls. This location enables them to service their customers through multiple service bays, indoor display areas, HUGE in stock parts inventory, and over 3 acres for equipment display and demos. After seeing the distance that some customers had to drive in order to reach Bobcat of Buffalo, Bobcat of Buffalo South was opened in 2003. Bobcat of Buffalo South is conveniently located in Erie County near the borders of Wyoming and Cattaraugus Counties about 70 miles northeast of Erie, PA.
